How to find Pine Lodge Gardens & Nursery

Location

The Gardens are situated on the warm and sheltered south coast of St.Austell Bay, in Cornwall. They are on the eastern side of St Austell and approached via a short lane off the A390.


Travelling by Car?

Travelling into Cornwall from east of Exeter, the most convenient route is on the A30. From the M5 after Exeter, take the A30 towards Okehampton. Continue on this road, passing Bodmin, and then turn left onto the A391 to St Austell. Turn right at the Traffic Lights onto the A390. You will see the signs for Pine Lodge Gardens on the left-hand side. Turn into the entrance way and drive up the short lane. There is ample car parking.

Travelling from the Plymouth area, take the A38 towards Liskeard. Continue on the A38 to Dobwalls and take the left turn onto the A390 to Lostwithiel and St Austell. As you approach the outskirts of St Austell, shortly after the traffic lights at the junction with the A391, on the left-hand side you will see signs for Pine Lodge. Turn into the entrance way and drive up the short lane. There is ample car parking. NB A ByPass for Dobwalls is being built at the moment. This may result in delays in your journey. Look carefully for the turning onto the A390 !

Travelling from the west of Cornwall, take the A390 which passes just south of St Austell town. Continue on this road through 3 sets of Traffic Lights. You will shortly see a Brown Sign for Pine Lodge Gardens which is on the right-hand side of the road.

Cycling?

The Sustrans National Cycle Network Route 3 passes within a short distance of Pine Lodge Gardens as it crosses the A391. From Route 3, turn downhill on the cyclepath on the western side of the A391. At the traffic lights, on the T-junction with the A390, cross the A390 towards the signs for Pine Lodge Gardens. Turn right along the joint foot & cycle path. Turn left into the entrance lane to Pine Lodge Gardens. Enjoy a well-earned snack in the Tea Rooms whilst you're visiting the gardens!

Walking ?

Whilst Pine Lodge Gardens entrance lane is on the main A391, there is good footpath access from both East, West and North. The Gardens would make a pleasant detour for those enjoying the delights of walking the Cornish coast path, or indeed, the complete SouthWest coast path!
